George Lignos is a Chemical Engineer and the founder of It’s Alive, Greece’s first and only fresh spirulina production company. He has actively participated in several research programs and transitioned into entrepreneurship, focusing on designing and building photobioreactors and extraction methods to produce high-value analytical-grade proteins.

With international experience as a trainee in a biotechnology lab at Wageningen and at Procter & Gamble, George has developed expertise in leveraging production technology as a market penetration tool. His innovative approach has earned several awards, and his products are featured in some of the best delicatessens across Greece, showcasing his ability to penetrate the market quickly and efficiently.
