Seago, with the support of the STARTAB Programme, is changing the landscape in maritime transport in Greece

Seago, an innovative company in the field of maritime transport, was founded by Christos Mantolas, who was inspired by his personal love for the sea and sea travel. Coming from a family with close ties to shipping, Christos developed a vision for more affordable and direct maritime transport. Through Seago, an application that Connecting travelers with local boat operators, the business caters to the growing need for easy and economical transportation at sea.

With the support of the STARTAB Entrepreneurship Programme, Christos managed to develop practical skills in marine business operation, branding and business development. These skills proved decisive for the success of Seago, which already works with 30 boat operators and operates in more than 20 regions of Greece.

The program helped Christos improve user experience, expand partnerships and improve marketing strategies, achieving revenue growth. Christos stated: “My participation in the programme helped me gain deeper knowledge about scaling the business and applying new technologies in a specialized industry.”

Today, Seago has evolved into a digital, innovative platform with faster growth and greater customer interaction. Looking to the future, Christos intends to expand Seago across the Mediterranean, creating new opportunities for both travelers and partners. “What makes me proud is that Seago is bridging the gap in maritime mobility, making travel easier and creating new prospects for boat operators,” he said.
