Michael Tzamalis is an expert on lifelong learning, vocational education and training, and skilling growth. He owns a bachelor degree in Political Sciences and Public Administration from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds a Postgraduate Master degree in Lifelong Learning from the Institute of Education of the University of London, has more than 15 years of professional experience.
As the Skilling Lead for Greece, Cyprus and Malta he is the central resource and owner for in-country skilling and talent workforce lead, partnering closely with government stakeholders, enterprises, academia, and learning partners with aim to advance the skillsets of the current workforce and future generations. Earlier for almost 9 years, he was scientific personnel of Small Enterprises’ Institute of Hellenic Confederation of Professionals, Craftsmen and Merchants (IME GSEVEE) with focus on planning, coordination, implementation and management of vocational education and training programs, for adult professionals of technical professions and for the human resource of small businesses. In addition, he has experience in European programs and in collaborations with organizations from many countries of the European Union. Finally, he has collaborated in lifelong learning projects with the General Secretariat for Lifelong Learning (GSLLL) and the Youth and Lifelong Learning Foundation (I.NE.DI.VI.M).
