Maria is the third generation of female entrepreneurs in her family. She started off in finance and moved to London in 2010 at the onset of the Greek financial crisis. 

She worked in banking (EFG Private Bank), consulting (Mazars) and the easyGroup alongside her mentor, Sir Stelios Hajiioannou who inspired her to use entrepreneurship as a vehicle for her return to Greece. 

Maria has studied finance at Bays Business School and Oxford University and holds several professional qualifications. 

Her business, Stratigon Finance, is an investment and entrepreneurship consultancy with the mission of social impact.
