Konstantinos Kastanis is the Managing Director of ELVAN S.A., a Greek industrial company which produces fixed structures for pv projects, cable trays, support systems and lightning protection material.
Born in Athens in 1965, he graduated from the School of Mechanical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (N.T.U.A.) B.Sc., focusing on Energy Systems (M.Sc.).
He also has an MBA degree from University of Indianapolis, where his dissertation was on: “Teachings of War History on Corporate Strategy and Leadership”. His involvement with renewable energy begun in 2006, when he became the company’s CEO.
He is a co-founder of the start-up company SOLBOTIX, which designs an innovative photovoltaic panel cleaning robot that does not use water to remove dust and sand.
His free time is devoted to studying and playing chess.
